2019 Recipient of the Teranet Manitoba Anderson Award for Law Students

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 Teranet Manitoba Anderson Award for Law Students has been awarded to Garry Suderman.

“I’m profoundly grateful for the award from Teranet. As a mature full-time law student with three small kids, it is no exaggeration to say that Teranet’s award makes a big difference in our day-to-day lives,” said Suderman.

The Teranet Manitoba Anderson Award for Law Students is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to a third-year law student at the University of Manitoba with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, to help offset the financial challenges of law school. The scholarship was launched in the memory of Nancy Anderson, a lawyer and the first General Manager of Teranet Manitoba, who passed away in December 2017.

“Nancy was a life-long learner who took great pride not only in the work we do at Teranet Manitoba, but also in helping to support those looking to further advance themselves through education,” said Elgin Farewell, President and CEO of Teranet Inc. “She was a champion of continuing education and could always be counted on to provide support and encouragement for her colleagues, friends and family in their academic pursuits.”

The Teranet Manitoba Anderson Award for Law Students is a three-year scholarship and will be awarded to a new third-year student in 2020 and 2021.
